My first teatowels. Ah. Well, they were very hard work and not many of them came out well. I had to get a lot of help from Kate from WYPW who was very patient and helpful. It’s really good to try something that you’ve been wanting to do for ages, and then realise, it’s actually really hard and understand the design constraints for doing it next time. For example, in future I’m going to try a smaller design. I do like having two colours but registration is pretty tricky. But i don’t really mind if they come out a little bit misregistered.

I’m going back next week to finish the red ones and do some in green. I am pretty slow at screenprinting. I’ve got lots to learn but I’m enjoying learning a new skill.

Have got an exhibition coming up in May so have got to get some new designs into the pipeline. It’s good to have a deadline though, I’m going to the seaside soon so will get some drawings done.
