BBC North Design Challenge
Went to Camira fabrics today to work on developing my design for the BBC North Design Challenge. Had to resize the pattern so it could be printed and also work on it so it can be woven into a jacquard. It’s going to be used as upholstery material in the new Media City building in Salford. I hope it’ll be made into sofas, I want to see the repeat! Exciting stuff! Going back soon to see the weave process. Learning loads, especially as I haven’t studied textiles, really enjoying the exposure to something new.
